Additional information:
The purpose is to bring together scholars from many disciplines to share their research on these regions and on relationships between these regions, as well as connections to transnational and national interregional dynamics related to the Amazonian and Andean areas. We welcome individual paper and panel proposals.

Keynote Speakers: Dr. Regina Harrison, University of Maryland, College Park; Dr. Norman Whitten, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

In addition, FAU will also be hosting the traveling art exhibition, Of Rage and Redemption: The Art of Oswaldo Guayasamín, which will open on the first night of our conference. We extend a special invitation to scholars to propose panels or papers on the work of this important Andean artist and related topics.
