Do I have to pre-register?

All accepted Congress participants must pre-register by February 15, 2009; otherwise their names will not appear in the Program Book. All attendees must register, either by pre-registering on or before February 15, 2009 or upon arrival at the Congress site. Acceptance as an official LASA2009 participant does not confer automatic LASA2009 registration.

I would like to pay my pre-registration fee. How can I do so?

Pre-registration for LASA2009 will be available on line after October 20, 2008 at http://lasa.international.pitt.edu. Deadline for canceling pre-registration without penalty is February 15, 2009.

What are the registration and pre-registration fees?

Fees for LASA2009 are not yet determined. As soon as they are, the information will be posted on LASA's website.

Will you have one-day passes?

Not yet determined.

What do I get with my registration?

The Congress registration fee allows admittance to:

• all Sessions
• the Book Exhibit
• the Welcoming Reception
• the Film Festival
• Registrants also are provided a Congress Program Book and the Congress Proceedings CD-ROM

If I pay the registration fee and will not be able to attend, can I be reimbursed?

If for any reason pre-registered participants are unable to attend the Congress, they should inform the LASA Secretariat by February 15, 2009 and their registration fee will be refunded. After this date, no refunds will be made.
