Berklee College of Music invites nominations and applications for a full-time faculty position in Art History. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The Liberal Arts Department at Berklee College of Music offers an outstanding and experienced educator and scholar the opportunity to collaborate on new curriculum in an exciting, culturally diverse student body comprised of 4.000 artists and music professionals from over 72 countries. Berklee's strategic vision calls for elevating the Liberal Arts, enhancing and integrating the program to create a student experience that is rich and multidimensional and that gives artists and music professionals the skills and competencies they will need in music and in life.

Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a PhD in Art History with a specialization in an area-studies region and an interdisciplinary, cultural studies approach, as well as a record of research and work in the profession, and a strong commitment to teaching. While the successful candidate may work in one of the following areas: Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, the primary field will be determined by area of expertise. The department is open to a variety of approaches and seeks an innovative scholar and educator, who will promote interdisciplinary collaboration in a diverse department and College. Teaching load includes Art History surveys and courses in the area of specialization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in photography, architecture and/or new media arts is also desired
