Teaching Instructor of Spanish/Teaching Assistant Professor

Description:
Fixed-term position at the rank of Teaching Instructor of Spanish beginning August 11, 2008. Two-year contract, with the possibility for renewal, with a teaching load of four courses per semester, primarily in the beginning language levels. MA required; PhD considered for appointment at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professor (non tenure-track). Native or near-native Spanish and English. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching and service to the university, community and profession. Preference given to individuals with experience in communicative teaching practices and the ability to contribute specific cultural content to introductory Spanish curriculum. Familiarity with CALL considered a plus.
