Tenure Track Position - Latin American History

LATIN AMERICAN HISTORY. High Point University seeks teacher-scholar applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Latin America to begin August 15, 2008. The Ph.D. degree in history is required, and it must be awarded prior to August 15, 2008. The department seeks candidates who are excellent teachers and professionally engaged with lively research agendas. The successful candidate will offer upper level undergraduate courses in Latin American history; Western Civilization and/or US history surveys; and one or more graduate courses in Latin American history. The area of research specialty is open. Preparation in colonial or nineteenth century desired. Review of completed applications will begin October 15, 2007.
