Description:
The Latin American and Latino Studies Program at UIC seeks a tenure track assistant professor candidate in the field of Latin American social science with a focus on South or Central America. We are most interested in an outstanding and original scholar whose interdisciplinary research focuses on urban issues such as poverty, race, space and political economy. We are open to candidates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds such as geography, sociology and anthropology.

Minimum Requirements:
We are open to candidates from diverse disciplinary backgrounds such as geography, sociology and anthropology. The ideal candidate should also be an excellent teacher and active in program development.
Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate must have been awarded a Ph.D. at time of appointment.
