Director, NYU in Buenos Aires

Description:
New York University seeks a qualified individual to oversee the academic and administrative activities of NYU in Buenos Aires, the university’s study abroad and research center in Argentina. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Global Affairs in New York, the Director will supervise all local operations, including academic programming, facility management and budget, as well as oversee academic and administrative staff. Key responsibilities include developing a high profile and quality academic program; identifying, hiring and managing faculty; developing faculty and departmental relations at NYU; establishing cultural and co-curricular programming; building relationships with US and Latin American institutions; and assisting in the development of NYU’s faculty and graduate programming, as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Advanced degree; experience managing an academic program at the university level, including policy and curriculum development; experience advising students, and fluency in both Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. preferred; knowledge of the academic and administrative policies and practices of NYU, and/or experience managing and promoting a US study abroad program.
