The XXX International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association will be held in San Francisco, California.

At this time, individuals can only participate as congress attendees. Additionally, individuals can attend the Film Festival which will be located in the Marriott hotel’s Yerba Buena Ballroom Bob Hill D and C and, the Book Exhibit which will be located in the Marriott hotel’s Salon 9-8.
Pre-registration has closed. If presenters did not pre-register, their names will not appear in the Program Book nor be official participants. The LASA Registration area will be open for badge and program collection, as well as, on-site registration starting on Wednesday from 1 pm to 10 pm, Thursday from 7 am to 8 pm, Friday from 7 am to 8 pm and, Saturday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm. LASA will send name badges by mail to all pre-registered participants. You must bring your badge with you to the Congress to receive the Congress Program.
There will not be any one-day passes available.
No child care will be provided at this Congress. LASA will subsidize the cost of child care for accepted participants who are taking their children to San Francisco. LASA will provide reimbursements at the rate of US $10.00 per hour for one child, and US $12.00 for two or more children, for a maximum of 10 hours.
LASA maximum responsibility per family will be $ 100.00 for one child and $120 for two or more children. A parent who bills LASA for childcare must be a 2012 member of the Association and a registered attendee of LASA2012. To receive reimbursement, the parent must submit the original bill from the caregiver, with the name(s) of the child(ren), and the dates of the service, to the LASA Secretariat on or before July 15, 2012.
