For LASA2012, all accepted participants must pre-register by December 15, 2011 or their names will not appear in the Program Book. Failure to pre-register by December 15 may also cause your panel to be cancelled. LASA’s pre-registration policy states that panels must consist of a minimum of 3 distinct papers from pre-registered authors. Panels that do not meet the minimum paper requirement will be cancelled and removed from the Program. If you find that you are not able to participate in the Congress please notify your session chair and the LASA Secretariat immediately.
Acceptance as an official LASA2012 Participant does not confer automatic LASA2012 registration.
Pre-registration for LASA2012 is available on-line.

The room assignment printed in your letter is temporary; please check your final room assignment in the Program Book.
The level of financial support for Congress travel and for lecturing fellowships for Latin America and Caribbean based applicants is limited. Accepted and rejected individuals, who applied for funding by April 1, 2011, will be notified about their requests by November 15, 2011. Please do not make inquiries to the Program Office, Track Chairs or Section Chairs regarding the status of funding requests.
Your standing as a participant in LASA2012 brings with it significant responsibility to your colleagues, to the Latin American Studies community, and to the Association. LASA International Congresses provide opportunities to disseminate research findings, exchange ideas and make contact with other professionals from many countries. Individuals may be seriously inconvenienced and disappointed when they attend sessions only to find that persons they looked forward to hearing and seeing fail to appear. Do not be recorded as a "no-show." If for any reason you cannot attend, inform the Secretariat by May 21, 2012.
