Institutions participating as Sponsors of the Thirtieth International Congress of the Latin American Studies, LASA2012, are guaranteed visibility beyond what traditional advertising can provide. There is a great variety of activities and events available for sponsorship and they can be sponsored in full or in part. Here is a list:
The 30th International Congress officially kicks off with this event, following a formal welcome. All attendees are invited to enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. This reception attracts up to 1,000 people. Reception sponsor(s) will receive Benefactors level sponsorship benefits and 20 complimentary drink tickets for VIP guests. This sponsorship is designed for two organizations, each at the $20,000 level.
The International Congress ends with this gala event. It's the place to relax, enjoy the music, and be with new and old friends. Usually attended by 1,500 people, there always are delicious snacks and fun music. Sponsorship on a Patrons level prominently displays your name in the dance area. Also, the DJ will announce you as a sponsor.
The Kalman Silvert Award Luncheons honor scholars for their distinguished contributions to the discipline and the profession. The event will host up to 100 invited guests. The Awards Luncheon sponsor will receive Patrons level sponsor benefits, and a ticket to the luncheon for a representative.
Your organization will have the opportunity to display products and speak directly to current and potential customers in the Exhibit Hall Lounge. The Reception will offer a host bar and light refreshments. In addition to Contributors level sponsor benefits, a Reception/Cocktail Hour sponsor will receive a display table and unique signage featuring organization name, logo and booth number.
Your name will be printed on the strap of the lanyard that is given to all registered attendees (we're expecting nearly more than 5,000 this year).
The "Getting Published" Reception offers an outstanding opportunity to connect with both graduate and undergraduate students. This event will attract up to 200 attendees and will feature an informal conversation with editors answering questions from the audience. Substantial hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be served. This sponsorship is designed for two organizations, each at the $3,750 level. Both organizations will receive Contributors level sponsor benefits.
Each conference room is provided with computer and a projector. Your logo and company name will appear on an acknowledgement slide, projected on screen at the beginning and end of each session.
