Description:
This is a stream at the Gender, Work and Organization 6th International Interdisciplinary Conference. This stream invites contributions from those researching the gendered dimensions of work and employment in the Latin American context. We especially welcome papers adopting an interdisciplinary perspective. Papers are invited on (but not limited to) the following themes: gendering of labour market dynamics, representations and identities at work, critical accounts of the impact of organisational processes on political and social representations of work and employment, gendered cultures in organisations, gender relations and management, affiliation (workplace and extra workplace political action), impact of external political agendas on gendered workplace action, and impact of gender public policy on organisations in the public/private sectors.

Abstracts of approximately 500 words (ONE page, Word document, single spaced, excluding references) are invited by November 1st 2009 with decisions on acceptance to be made by stream leaders within one month. All abstracts will be peer reviewed. New and young scholars with 'work in progress' papers are welcomed. In the case of co-authored papers, ONE person should be identified as the corresponding author. Abstracts should include FULL contact details, including your name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, and e-mail address.
