Description:
On the occasion of the bicentennial of the Latin American independences, the FIU Annual Symposium on Hispanic cultural studies will examine and evaluate the state of literature and film on both sides of the Atlantic. Although preference will be given to those papers addressing the issue of independence and its ramifications, other transatlantic topics are also welcomed.
