Assistant Professor of Spanish tenure-track in Hispanic Transaltantic and/or Latin American culture

Description:
SPECIALIZATION: Hispanic Transatlantic and/or Latin American culture.

DUTIES: Teach culture/civilization courses in Spanish and in translation, and advanced Spanish language. Strong commitment to research and teaching is essential. Interest in directing study abroad programs is expected, participation in the University’s Latin American Studies Program is welcome, ability to teach Brazilian Portuguese desirable.Effective Sept. 1, 2010.

Minimum Requirements:
PhD in hand by the time of appointment. Native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English.
