Description:
Assistant Prof. in the Dept of Spanish and Portuguese, tenure-track. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. EO/AA Employer.

Minimum Requirements:
Ph.D in Latin American Cultural and Literary Studies expected by start date of appointment; potential for scholarship; knowledge of theoretical trends; ability to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in area of specialization as well as Spanish language; evidence of excellence in teaching; fluent in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:
Emphasis in the Andean world and/or Mexico and in narrative and/or film, or any other areas of 19th-21st-century Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies that complement current faculty strengths in the Dept.; established publication record
