Annual Summer Visiting Scholars Library Fellowship

Description:
The UI-UC Consortium for Latin American Studies announces its annual Summer Visiting Scholars library fellowship for faculty from non-research U.S. universities and colleges. Recipients research and write on a Latin American topic for one month during the summer of 2008 at the Urbana/Champaign campus and enjoy access to university libraries and resources. Two fellowships will be awarded. Awards include a stipend of $3,000 and up to $500 for travel to and from the recipient's home institution. Residence must be completed by August 15, 2008. Successful applicant must be tenured or tenure-track faculty at as US college or university, and must verify eligibility prior to receiving the award.
To apply, send a letter of interest, a curriculum vitae, one letter of reference, and a brief project proposal (approx. 500 words). There is no additional application form. Submit material by March 15, 2008
