Latin American Research Review publishes work in three categories: articles, research reports and notes, and thematic book review essays.
Article manuscripts report original research relating to Latin America which will be of interest to a multidisciplinary audience and accessible to a general academic readership. Articles must not exceed 10,000 words including notes and references.
Research reports and notes provide an outlet for brief commentaries on methods, archives, or new research material or data that will assist or stimulate further research in a specific field. The word limit for research reports and notes is 7,000 words, including notes and references.
Review essays are commissioned by the book review editor from specialists in the field. Latin American Research Review does not publish unsolicited reviews, but authors may indicate interest or suggest topics or groups of books for review by contacting the book review editor.
